About Sofia

Sofia Faus was born and raised in Texas City, Texas, a coastal, oil refinery town that neighbors the historic Galveston Island. Sofia demonstrated an interest in theatre from an early age; she took every opportunity to perform that her community offered.

She made the move to the Big Apple at age 18, joining Manhattan School of Music's inaugural Musical Theatre class. During her time at MSM, she worked with renowned Musical Theatre artists, such as: Boyd Gaines, Randy Graff, Luis Perez, Liza Gennaro, Robin Morse, and many others. Sofia has performed professionally for Quisisana Resort, the Edinburgh International Festival, and a handful of new works. Some of her favorite roles include: Elle Woods in Legally Blonde, Doria in Smile, Texas in Cabaret, and Fiona in Shrek the Musical. Sofia's creativity has allowed her to write and direct a musical theatre piece for Saint Andrew's School of Fine Arts' Creative Arts Camp in 2021, 2022, and soon in 2023.

She is an avid traveler and language learner. She studied the Spanish Language in Spain and Costa Rica, fulfilling a life-long goal of becoming conversationally fluent in Spanish. In 2022, Sofia spent time solo-traveling to 17 different European countries, learning a great deal about European art, history, and politics in the process. At the moment, she is spending a portion of her free time learning German.

She is currently positioned as a Marketing Coordinator for Yaga's Entertainment. In this position, she has had the privilege of coordinating highly anticipated festivals in Galveston Island, including the 3rd largest Mardi Gras in the country.

Sofia is a citizen of the USA and Spain. In addition to performing, traveling, and refining her Spanish, Sofia enjoys swimming, going to museums, walks in nature, and spending quality time with her family.
